What does the remote-first approach mean for us?

The COVID-19 crisis had a massive impact on our daily lives and routines, as well as on the way we work. In fact, companies faced challenges that they were not previously used to before. Large companies, in particular, had to enable their employees to work from home.

This has caused many companies to rethink the way they operate; however, many are still struggling to make a real commitment to remote work. For us, it's not an either-or scenario, nor is it about the workplace from which you work. Instead, it's about the culture, which will massively change the way we work in the future. We want to actively shape this movement, lead the way, and constantly learn from you and other companies that are implementing remote-first approaches.

What does Leadership mean in a remote-first setting?

For us, it’s all about trust (s. Core Values). Our leadership style follows a very simple principle: we are all owners who want to accomplish something in our lives. Accordingly, we are working on the same thing. Still, human leadership in the virtual network requires special attention and we are determining what works well and what does not.
